FAQ

Is clothing pickup really free?

Yes. We offer free clothing and shoe pickup.

Do I need to sort my clothes?

No. Just bag or box them - we handle the rest.

Do my clothes and shoes need to be in perfect condition?

No. Items do not need to be new or in perfect condition.  We evaluate each item individually based on condition, quality, safety, and marketability.

Do you accept clothing with stains or holes?

Yes. We accept clothing with stains, holes, or signs of wear.  Depending on condition, items may be resold, reused, recycled, or processed through textile recovery.  We ask that items be dry and not moldy or contaminated with hazardous materials.

When will my pickup occur?

Pickups are typically completed between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM on your scheduled pickup date. Please place your bags or boxes outside your front door by 8:00 AM and leave them out until pickup is completed.

Do you provide donation receipts?

No. THRIFT DEGREE is a for-profit commercial business. We are not a charitable organization. Items accepted by THRIFT DEGREE are not tax-deductible, and no donation receipts are provided.

What happens to my clothes after pickup?

Collected items are evaluated for resale, reuse, recycling, or textile recovery whenever appropriate.   Our goal is to keep as much clothing and shoes in circulation as possible while helping keep them out of landfills.
